Happy Valentine's Day! We're gonna celebrate it in grand style on February 7, 2014, so save the date. Wear your cutest, most comfy PJs and nighties because its a pajama party too! This little shindig is designed to unload onto each other all the unwanted, ugly, useless, boring, thoughtless, Christmas gifts we received, and we're going to have have fun doing it. You know what they say: "One woman's trash ..."
Say whaaat? You like ALL the gifts you got? Lucky you! Ok, just purchase a gift, or better yet, search through your closets and drawers and find an item you meant to return to the store six months ago but never got around to. Any item is fair game, so get really creative. Uh-huh, that purple sequined purse, vibrating pillow, smoothie machine or bottle of Johnnie Walker will find a home after all. If you bring a guest, she should also bring a gift.
Here's what you do: Re-wrap the unwanted item. Make it look real special. No need to indicate who it's from or who it's to. That's where the fun comes in. Later, one by one, we each take a turn to pick a gift and unwrap it. But don't get too attached the gift you get, because somebody might steal it away! That's what's so low-down and dirty about it, Valentine. But cheer up. What goes around comes around. If you like another gal's gift better than the one you picked, you might be able to steal from her. Hey, nobody ever said life is fair...
What party is complete without food, games and music? I wont get into details, but let's just say there'll be a prize for the girl who can't keep her legs crossed and some other fun stuff. Food, drinks and alcohol will be served, but if you want a particular beverage, please bring it. For those who um...overindulge, feel free to either sleep overnight in the room or reserve your own at the hotel. This is a BYOM event---bring your own music. Pick out a few of your favorite tunes on your iphone or MP3 player. I'll have a docking station. Voila! Instant DJ.
I'll know the room number on February 7th (the hotel wont tell me beforehand. Can you believe that!?) I'll post it were everyone can see, or text me on that day.
